Oct 01, 2017: St Victor Girls’ High School, Puttur was awarded the “PRATIBHA AWARD” at a ceremony jointly organized by the D.K. District Administration and Karnataka Education Department on the occasion recently at Town Hall, Mangalore for achieving 100% result in SSLC and being the Topper in Dakshina Kannada among all aided institutions.

St Victor Girls’ High School has achieved 100% result in the SSLC exam held in the year 2011-12. All the students of Std. X, including three sections ofKannada medium and one section of English medium consisting of 244 studentswho appeared for the exam were successful. Among them 42 passed with distinction and 132 in first class.

 

 

The school was also recognized and honored by the Block Education Department on Teacher s’ day (5th September 2012) for this great achievement as well as by the Catholic Board of Education and the Headmasters’ Association Mangalore.

This achievement is noteworthy and deserves special mention as 244 students (highest number of students) had appeared for the SSLC exam this year from St. Victor Girls High School. Headmistress of the school, Doreen Fernandes who took up this challenge exclaimed - ‘This achievement was possible only due to the combined commitment of our staff and the students along with the support of the Board. It is a great satisfaction to achieve this feat after a gap of 46 years’.
