The annual day programme of St Philomena English Medium Higher Primary School was organised on 20-12-2018.

The programme commenced at around 10 am with a prayer song.

Mrs. Sukanya D N , the BEO of Puttur taluk was the chief guest of the programme. Rev. Fr. Antony Prakash Monteiro, the Campus Director and Rev. Fr Praveen D’souza, the Asst. Parish Priest of Mai De Deus Church were the guests of honour. Rev. Fr. Alfred J Pinto, the correspondent of the Mai De Deus educational Institutions presided over the programme. The Headmistress Sr. Lora Pais, the vice president of PTA Mr. Gururaj K and the SPL Ms. Sonal D’souza escorted the guests to the dais. Mrs Saritha Gonsalves welcomed the honourable guests and the gathering.

The chief guest, in her speech was superlative in appreciation of the teachers for their dedication and commitment towards his/her profession.Rev. Fr. Antony P Monteiro, addressed the parents and made them aware of their role in moulding the child in every stage of their life.In the Presidential speech, Rev.Fr. Alfred J Pinto applauded the efforts of the teachers and encouraged the students.

Sr. Lora Pais , the Headmistress of the school gave a brief report of all the curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities conducted in the school as well as the participation of students in various competition in different fields.

Ms. Monya Kausami, the young national swimmer, the alumna of our school was felicitated for her excellence in swimming and also for being the epitome of young swimmers.

The President as well as the guests gave away the prizes for the winners of different competitions as well as the academically meritorious students.

Mrs Deepthi Dalmeida proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Preetham D’souza anchored the stage programme.

The Cultural programme began with a welcome dance. The life of St. Philomena was beautifully depicted through a magnificent tableau. There were wonderful dances and a meaningful skit based on the theme of the nature and the rain. The students compered the cultural programme.

The programme ended with the National Anthem.
